Sales interns play a vital role in the AWL every season. Sales interns will gain valuable experience in the Sports Industry as they market the AWL to fans, players, and sponsors. Through sales and fundraising, interns will learn all about marketing a sports league, teams, and players. Anybody aspiring for a career in sports marketing or sales should take advantage of this fun and exciting internship!

Sales and Marketing Intern

The AWL runs from January 30, 2012 to March 1^st, 2012

Hours vary daily

Job Description:

Interns will play a key role in the AWL’s sales initiatives.  The responsibilities of the interns include but are NOT limited to the following and are subject to change based on league needs: 

·         Contacting prospective Sponsorship leads

·         Contacting prospective Fundraising leads

·         Assist with Customer Service Calls

·         Properly record calling statistics and data

·         Assist in generating and processing of sales leads

·         Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager

Job Requirements:

·         Current student (undergraduate or graduate)

·         Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal communication skills

·         Outgoing and self-motivating personality

·         Reliable and the ability to follow instructions

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel

Rate of Pay:

College credit available
