The Arizona Winter League is looking for sports medicine and athletic training interns! Interns would have the opportunity to gain experience working with our players, coaches, and staff for a month at a former Major League facility. This is a perfect opportunity for students looking to break into the sports medicine field bto work with professional athletes in professional facilities.

The AWL runs from January 30, 2012 to March 1^st, 2012

Hours vary daily

Job Description:

Interns will assist with on and off field athletic training and sports medicine.  The responsibilities of the interns include but are NOT limited to the following and are subject to change based on league needs: 

·         Organize medical supplies

·         Provide care to injured players/staff

·         Assist with general clubhouse duties

·         Assist with general equipment duties

·         General icing/taping before or after games

Job Requirements:

·         Current student (undergraduate or graduate)

·         Knowledge of sports medicine practices

·         Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal communication skills

·         Outgoing and self-motivating personality

·         Reliable and the ability to follow instructions

Rate of Pay:

College credit available
